We are so grateful to our guests for sharing their thoughts about their stays…

“This stay at the Barn was a revisit for our 30th wedding anniversary, and was still as peaceful and romantic as ever! The jacuzzi was still a favorite feature, and the morning coffee was wonderful, especially the grind-fresh flavored beans! I have a severe gluten-intolerance and always travel with breakfast food, expecting to find little I can eat, but the breakfast had delicious gluten-free options for me as well as tasty baked-goods for my gluten-full husband. What a delightful surprise! We visited with the donkeys, and my husband loved lying in wait, deer-spotting. The owners were so kind and welcoming, too. A great country retreat!” Pamela S

“I had a romantic getaway at Palo Alto Creek Farm… To this day, I re-live the memories of the fabulous Barn. It was an exquisite stay and, though near the main house and the Log Cabin, feels incredibly private. The creek running at the back of the properly is so serene. Morning walks have little critters scampering about. Deer gather every evening for a gorgeous sunset. Meals in town were memorable as well, but we didn’t spend a great deal of time there since we hurried back to the Barn for more heavenly bubble baths in the big jacuzzi tub surrounded by candles. It was simply one of the most relaxing weekends ever.” – Trip Advisor Reviewer, Texas

“I was blessed enough to stay at the Log Cabin on this beautiful, one of a kind part of history. It is my understanding that this is the oldest in tact settlement in Texas! Back in the day it was a working farm for a German immigrant family and the current owners have outdone themselves in restoring and modernizing this property while keeping the original details in tact. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is it! I chose to go on a “cleanse” retreat for myself and I left RESTORED! Every detail is taken care of, the Log Cabin is simply gorgeous and it was exactly what the doctor ordered!! Whether you are a couple wanting to experience a romantic weekend or someone like me who just needed sweet solitude, I HIGHLY recommend this location for your stay!” Lisa G, Ingram Texas

“We just returned from an amazing trip to Fredericksburg and a stay at the Palo Alto Creek Farm. It was one of the most relaxing and romantic trips we have ever taken. We stayed in the log cabin. It was cold and we LOVED having the big fireplace in the living room and especially the one in the bathroom! The food that was left for us for breakfast for both mornings was amazing and plentiful. We loved every bit of it and it was so fresh and more than enough. We even took some with us as we hiked enchanted rock.

At Palo Alto we felt like we were close to town, but without the noise of main street. We loved that we had complete privacy. We will definitely be back!” TripAdvisor Reviewer, Houston, TX
